 Teaching Assistant (to provide enhanced support) 

Required as soon as possible 

Pay Grade: LAAT G3 point 11         

We are a good school and are seeking to appoint a dedicated, hard-working and motivated person to work as part of our team.  The post on offer, is as follows: 

A Teaching Assistant to support child in Reception with an educational health care plan for 20 hours per week. Working hours are between 11am-3.15am daily (incorporating a short break). The child to be supported has been diagnosed with social, communication needs (ASD) and experiences challenges linked to learning, attention and focus control. Once a trusting relationship is developed, working with the child will be very rewarding. 

Experience of this type of work is desirable although not essential.  A willingness to try a variety of strategies as well as the ability to work as part of our friendly team is essential. 

The post is temporary until 31st August 2019 dependent on the needs of the child, or the child leaving school.

Teaching Assistant - 10 hours a week

(2 hours every week day afternoon)

The governors, staff and pupils seek to appoint an inspirational Teaching Assistant to support in Years 3 & 4, and lead some bespoke interventions to small groups of the children.

Ruskington Chestnut Street CofE Primary Academy is a vibrant and forward-thinking school, with brilliant children. The ideal candidate will be driven to ensure intervention support for children is engaging, interesting and creative.

This role will allow the right candidate to build on their existing knowledge and skills whilst being able to flourish in a progressive and caring school.

 The successful candidate will be a passionate teaching assistant who:

  • Can confidently and effectively plan and lead intervention support to small groups of children.
  • Has a good working knowledge of English and Maths to support pupil progress.
  • Can use their initiative, is efficient and well organised and has skills and talents to improve the learning of children.

  • Has excellent communication skills and are approachable for all children and staff.
  • Has the ability to promote the school’s values.
