Two Teaching Assistants

15 hours a week for each post

Pay Grade: LAAT G3 point 11        

The governors, staff and pupils seek to appoint two inspirational Teaching Assistants to lead bespoke interventions to children across the school.

We are looking for dedicated team players with innovative and imaginative ideas, who are motivated and able to inspire the minds of children, whilst making a positive impact on their learning.

Ruskington Chestnut Street CofE Primary Academy is a vibrant and forward thinking school, with brilliant children. The ideal candidates will be driven to ensure intervention support for children is engaging, interesting and creative.

These roles will allow the right candidates to build on their existing knowledge and skills whilst being able to flourish in a progressive and caring school.

 The successful candidates will be passionate teaching assistants who:

  • Can confidently and effectively plan and lead intervention support to small groups of children.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Phonics, English and Maths to support pupil progress.
  • Can use their initiative, are efficient and well organised and have skills and talents to improve the learning of children.
  • Have a caring and positive attitude.
  • Have excellent communication skills and are approachable for all children, staff and parents.
  • Have the ability to promote the school’s values.

Experience of supporting English and Maths within a primary school is desirable although not essential.  A willingness to try a variety of strategies as well as the ability to work as part of our friendly team is essential.

The posts are temporary until 31st August 2018 dependent on the needs of the school.
