Year 1/2

Year 1/2

Term 3 -  Bounce

This term the children will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of ball games. Throw it, catch it, roll it, bounce it!! We will be exploring them all.  Also in Science, the children will have the opportunity to make and test a variety of balls and discover what properties they have. In Design and Technology, the children will be building a balloon-powered car and testing them to see who made the fastest car! The homework set for the children this term will allow them to test these skills and share their knowledge with you. What an exciting term we have ahead of us. The children will also be studying animals and how they move as well as thinking about how to keep ourselves healthy and happy.

As part of our WOW day on Wednesday 10th January the children will have the opportunity to test their skills on a bouncy castle, play table tennis, netball, football and also create the biggest bubbles and test to discover the most suitable bubble wand to use!
